Our mission
Make the network stronger, not every nonprofit bigger.
Community organizations across New York already have trust, lived experience, passionate leadership, and deep neighborhood relationships. What many don't have yet is a grant department, a legal team, an IT department, or corporate and university partners. Mission Network NY exists to make those capabilities reachable collectively — so smaller and emerging organizations compete for opportunity on equal footing.
The independence promise
Membership never takes:
- Ownership of your organization
- Control of your board or governance
- Your programs or how you run them
- Your funding, grants, or donor relationships
- Your donor list — we never ask for it
- Your intellectual property or curriculum
- Authority over your staff or hiring
- Your financial accounts or financial control
- Your strategic direction
- Your legal identity or tax status
Your organization remains your organization.
